Caerphilly Riding School is a British Horse Society approved school and activity centre offering a range of equestrian activities for all ages and abilities. The riding centre is located at Ty Canol Farm on the outskirts of Caerphilly town, it overlooks the beautiful Caerphilly basin and its famous castle. Only a 5 minute drive from Caerphilly town centre and only a 20 minute drive from Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.

Ride in open countryside enjoying breathtaking, panoramic views, from the coast to the Brecon Beacon mountains. Well mannered, sure footed mounts are carefully chosen to give all riders a safe and enjoyable ride. Hourly rides, Half day rides, Full day rides. Families of all ages and abilities are welcome. We cater for parties and groups riding for either a few hours, half day, or full day rides. We can even include a stop at a local inn for refreshments.

The purpose built British Horse Society approved indoor arena offers group lessons for all abilities and tuition in a variety of disciplines. Pony days are available on Saturdays and School Holidays. Children can stay all day 10.30am - 3pm, and no experience is needed as the day is fully supervised. A packed lunch is required. Other activities include Picnic rides, BBQ ride, Gymkhana, Summer Camp and Birthday Parties.

Caerphilly Riding School boasts many wonderful and useful facilities. These include an indoor riding arena which is fantastic for the dark, cold, wet winter nights. The indoor school measures 45m x 25m and offers an excellent surface which benefits the horses as it enables them to work better and easier and therefore results in a happy and stress free horse. As the surface (a sand and rubber mix) is light and springy it reduces the stress on the horses limbs especially when jumping.

Within the school there is an excellent viewing area for spectators to watch the lessons. This is useful as they are able to listen to the instructions given by the instructors and see how well the instructions are carried out. It also has plenty of seating for larger groups and is a good spacious area. Within the gallery there is a vending machine with a range of chocolate, crisps and drinks. The indoor school also houses several jump for joy jumps which are easy to use as they are lightweight and easy to move.

Caerphilly Riding School has 12 stables and a secure tack room which is ideally square shaped for ease of use and access. The stables also have a 2 foot overhang which is ideal for pony days as it will keep you dry. The shape of the yard also helps to monitor the safety of the children at all times.
