For those of you that may not know, QUASAR is a live action laser gun game.

Armed with a state of the art laser gun, you can battle it out in a specially designed multi-dimensional arena.

Players are divided into two teams and points are won by shooting your opposing players and destroying their hq's,

you'll get a detailed scoresheet printout at the end of the game that tells you exactly how good (or bad!!) you did.

Games consist of two teams of up to twenty players in an arena.

Players attempt to score points by shooting members of the other team and by deactivating the other team's headquarters.

No matter how many times a player is shot, he still plays the entire game.

The software also offers many new weapons and options, Such as:
STANDARD GUN - Normal fire as in the older software, but up to 10 shots/sec
AUTOFIRE - Fully automatic gun up to 10 shots/sec
ARMOUR PIERCING - Shoot people when on defence shield
SMART BOMB - Kills everyone around you but NOT your own team
GRENADES - Same as smart bomb but kills own team as well
ROCOCHET - Can kill multiple players simultaneously
HOMING TARGETS - Switch to homing, squeeze and hold trigger, gun fires automatically whenever the enermy appear
TEAM RELAY - You cannot shoot or be shot, but you relay your team player's shot (great for shooting people round corners)

We can also set the bases to reward players with a range of power ups upon being destroyed:
AUTOFIRE - More Autofire shots
RAPID FIRE - Gun fires a pulse of shots each time you pull the trigger up to 10 shots/sec (equivalent of bonus shots in old software)
ARMOUR PIERCING - More armour piercing shots
SMART BOMB - more smart bombs
GRENADES - more grenades
ROCOCHET - more ricochet shots
HOMING TARGETS - More homing shots
TEAM RELAY - more team relay time
EXTRA LIVES - Gives extra lives
AUTO REFLEX - When shot your pack automatically fires a smartbomb
INVINCIBILITY - Player can't be shot except with armour piercing rounds
EASY HQ - Player only needs to shoot base once to destroy it
DEACTIVATOR - When you shoot someone they instantly lose all their lives

We can also set certain bonuses:
STEALTH - This turns off all the players lights and their laser so that it is harder to be seen, can be lost after a certain time or after so many hits.
LOOT - When on loot if you shoot someone their life and weapons are transfered to your gun can be lost after a certain time or after so many hits.

This is just a brief summary of all the option we now have. These options make the game far more exciting and fun. However our software still allows us to set up traditional 'skill' games with no extra's for our more experienced players.
